Georgian shoppers, and builders react live to Topuria’s KO win
In recent years, some of the UFC’s most heartwarming moments have come from the instant reactions to career-defining victories by friends, family, and members of the public.
Whilst a video of a town square showing Topuria vs Volkanovski on an enormous screen went viral earlier in the week, clips from more personal sources are now starting to be shared online.
Thanks to the work of Setanta Sports journalist Giorgi Kokiashvili, fans around the world are finally able to see with their own eyes the type of incredible popularity that Topuria enjoys in Georgia.
The first clip shows a shopper being told about the win by the cashier at a local convenience store, only to run around the shop floor in sheer joy like a little kid being told he can have another candy bar.
A second video showed a group of builders working on a snowy construction site as they watched the action unfold through a mobile livestream, precariously celebrating the KO on top of some scaffolding.

It’s not only in Georgia where Topuria is entering superstardom, but Spain too; gracing the front cover of the biggest sports publication in Spain, MARCA, with his shiny new gold belt draped over his shoulder.
