Dana White confirms UFC Mexico fight delayed to next week
During the UFC Fight Night 237 broadcast, the announcement team confirmed that Raul Rosas Jr vs Ricky Turcios had been canceled due to Rosas Jr falling sick only moments before the walkouts were scheduled to start.
As explained by Brendan Fitzgerald during the broadcast: “Here is the unfortunate news that I have to break right now. Our next fight was scheduled to be Raul Rosas Jr and Ricky Turcios, Raul Rosas Jr fell ill today.”
“He tried all day to get right, to be able to make the walk and compete tonight in front of these fans that would no doubt blow the roof off for him.”
The young prospect was filmed looking dejected and fatigued in the locker room, undoubtedly bitterly disappointed by missing the opportunity to get a major win in front of his adoring home crowd.

The good news is that the fight has now been moved to next weekend’s UFC Apex show, as confirmed by Dana White on Instagram Live:
“Raul got sick; we’re going to do the fight next week. The fight will be next week at the Apex.”
